Amazon Review - Great Light with Many Uses

After much research looking for a cordless work light, I decided on this. The light if very versatile because it tappers to fairly narrow point, so you can get the light into tight places. The light has two magnets; one one the very top and one on the side. The magnets are strong enough to hold the light to any metal surface. You can easily stick it to a metal object under the hood or attach it to a pipe. The light comes with a magnetic hook that can attach to the two magnets built into the light. This is great for hanging the light on a nail or a loop of wire. See the pictures of different configurations. The main area light is bright enough for most tasks if you can get within a few feet of the area you are working on. Part of the light has flat sides so you can place the light on the ground at the right angle and it won't roll around. The secondary light built into the bottom of the light, is more of a focused spot light. That light will produce about a 1 food diameter light when you are two feet away, but is not as bright as the man area light. The light has a single red LED indicator to indicate it's charging. You can charge and use the light at the same time. Charging generally takes less than 6 hours. Battery life is good. I get over 4 hours of light on a charge. Plenty for most tasks. I have used this when working under sinks, under the car, in the attic, and dozens of other places. Cold temperatures below zero did not affect the light output at all. I also like that this light does not get warm so there's no risk of setting anything on fire. I have not used my old corded trouble light since I purchased this Bayco. I've had the Bayco for about a year and a half with now issues. I've dropped it on concrete from 5 feet with only a few scrapes. I definitely recommend the light.

Amazon Review - product can take a beating, and Bayco will stand by their claim of it being a hi...

I purchase this in 2013 when it only came with the 12v charger, but no car charger. Newer versions come with both. As others have said, the light is bright though the leds on the butt of the light have always been useless to me. This isn't the most important part though. This light has been driven over, fallen from ladders, and been left on for over 24 hours in a ceiling more than once. I used it on the under side of my vehicle one time, attaching it to the frame with the top magnet. Forgot about it and drove to a shop where it finally fell off when the tech was moving my vehicle, and it had gotten driven over. Popped the case back together and used some tape where the screws weren't working any more, good as 'new'. The light switch started to give me fits at least a good 5 years after I bought it. I send the manufacture a request to buy a new switch, received an email that I would have it in a week or so. They didn't ask for any compensation. The switch was very easy to change out. Lights don't turn off when it looses power but rather just keep getting dimmer. When the batteries are newer you can leave it on for a very long time and the light will just keep getting dimmer till there just isn't enough juice. This of course isn't good for it, but at least if you leave it somewhere you can more easily find it. I'm at 8 years ownership of this light. Only in the last year has the LEDs gotten weaker, and I think the batteries are getting close to the end of their lives since it doesn't hold a charge nearly as long. Might just replace the batteries to see if that fixes the issue before I give up. Batteries are only replaceable if you know what you are doing. More than likely though I see another one in my near future.
